The Pear Affair

Inspired by the blush of Early Desire pears. A flirty combination of shy pear, tempting tequila & a kiss of spicy red wine.

Ingredients

  • 3 slices of pear (from the pear simple syrup)

  • 1.5oz | 45ml tequila blanco

  • 1oz | 30ml fresh lemon juice

  • 0.5oz | 15ml pear simple syrup (recipe below)

  • A few drops of spicy wine (recipe below)

Instructions

In a shaker, muddle pear slices. Add tequila, lemon juice & pear simple syrup. Add a handful of ice and shake until well chilled. Strain into a coupe glass.

Pear Simple Syrup

  • 1 cup of white sugar

  • 1 cup of water

  • 1 pear, thinly sliced

Core and thinly slice the entire pear. In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine sugar, water, and pear slices. Stir until the sugar is fully dissolved, then remove from heat as soon as the mixture comes to a boil. Let the syrup cool completely before using.

Lasts up to 1 month in the fridge.

Spicy Red Wine

  • 1 Thai red chili

  • 1/3 cup of red wine

Lightly crush the chili with the flat side of a knife and place it into a small bowl. Add red wine and let it infuse for 15 minutes. Strain the infused wine into a small squeeze bottle.

Lasts up to 1 week in the fridge.
